Dashboard Widgets
Build a personal My Activity canvas with activity, Git, tasks, notes, commands, and AI summaries. Keep a separate layout for each project.
Start with My Activity
Open My Activity for an overview across your workspace, then drill into a project when you need more detail.
- Open My Activity from the IDE. Choose a date range and author for the activity view.
- Select a project to open its dashboard. The global and project canvases retain their own saved layouts.
- Enable time tracking in Settings if you want focused-time totals. Connected integrations provide their own tasks and pipeline data.
Find and add widgets
Choose the information and shortcuts that are useful for the scope you are viewing.
- Choose Edit layout, then Add widget.
- Search by name or browse Statistics, Activity, Productivity, and IDE categories. Use the preview to choose a widget.
- Add individual statistics, work charts, commits, branches, tasks, todos, notes, pipelines, chats, scripts, commands, or project information.
- Use the widget's settings to configure its title, supported filters, or time range. Work activity widgets can Follow page or use their own range and author.
Arrange, resize, and save
Layout editing is designed for both quick adjustments and carefully arranged dashboards.
- Drag a widget's grip onto another card to reorder it, or use its move buttons.
- Resize from the right edge, bottom edge, or corner. Focus a resize handle and use arrow keys for keyboard adjustments.
- Use Align rows for shared row dimensions. Choose Keep own height in aligned rows for a compact card beside a taller list. Hold Shift during resizing to avoid snapping.
- Set Spacing for the gap between cards, or add a Spacer at a specific position.
- Choose Done to keep the arrangement. Cancel restores the layout and widget settings from when editing began. Layout changes save automatically.
Turn the dashboard into a starting point
Widgets can open the next step as well as display the current state.
- Add Scripts or Run configurations to launch the same actions available elsewhere in the IDE.
- Configure Run command with a shell command or an available saved command. Each click starts a fresh terminal in the dashboard's project, or the projects root for the global dashboard.
- Choose whether a command reveals the terminal panel. Output remains available in its terminal when run in the background.
- Use Search to open a text, regex, filename, or symbol search with your query. Use See all on supported widgets to open the relevant IDE view.
Reuse a layout
Use Layout actions to share an arrangement between your own dashboards.
- In Edit layout, open Layout actions and export a JSON file or import an existing layout. Imports are validated before replacement.
- Copy from the global dashboard or another project, or apply the current layout to all other projects after reviewing the target count.
- Use Restore defaults to return to the starter, or Remove all widgets to clear the canvas. Both actions ask before replacing the layout.
